Air in Water Due to Increased Pipeline Flow to Meet High Demand
To add to the supply and help keep up with increased demand necessary to meet public health and safety needs, the Commission has increased the flow from the Big Butte Springs water source. Increasing the flow results in an excess of air in the pipelines, causing the water to appear cloudy.
This cloudiness is due to air bubbles, not poor water quality, and the water remains safe to drink.
In addition to Medford water customers, this message also applies to properties within Central Point, Eagle Point, Phoenix, Talent, Jacksonville, and White City.
