Notice of Public Hearing - Charges in Lieu of Assessment
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Medford Board of Water Commissioners, convening virtually through video and phone conferencing, and in compliance with the Governor's current meeting regulations, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 12:15 p.m., to consider adopting revised “Charges in Lieu of Assessment”, Exhibit A of the Regulations Governing Water Service. The proposed revisions are based on a cost analysis and are as follows: 8″ water main unpaved condition, $28.55 per lineal foot per side of street; 8″ water main paved condition, $54.79 per lineal foot per side of street. 12″ water main unpaved condition, $41.42 per lineal foot per side of street; 12″ water main paved condition, $67.67 per lineal foot per side of street. All interested parties are invited to attend. A copy is available upon request; go to our website or make arrangements ahead of time by calling (541) 774-2440. Verbal and written comments will be accepted. Written comments should be submitted via first class mail or email and received before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. We strongly encourage the use of email to ensure it is received by the deadline; email comments or public hearing testimony pertaining to this agenda item to water@medfordwater.org. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number. All comments pertaining to this item received by the deadline will be provided to the Board at the meeting and submitted as a part of the public record. The Commission is not responsible for comments received after the deadline.
