Bulk Water Unavailable Due to Modernization Project - 7am, May 9th to 12pm, May 12th
Monday, May 02, 2022

photo of bulk water dispenserIn order to better serve those in need of bulk water, Medford Water is modernizing our bulk water station, located at 821 N. Columbus Avenue in Medford, from coin-based operation to a web-based system that utilizes a keypad, PIN, and online prepaid account.

This system will also allow us to meet regulatory requirements concerning water usage records from such a facility.

Due to this work, the bulk water station
will be temporarily unavailable from
7 a.m. on Monday, May 9th, to
12 p.m. on Thursday, May 12th, 2022.

If customers need bulk water during this time, Jackson County
operates a station at 724 Antelope Road in White City.
Information on that station is available at
jacksoncountyor.org/roads/General/Water-Station.

Once our modernization project is complete (after 12:00 p.m. on May 12th, 2022), all users will need an online pay4water.com account and PIN that will allow them to add funds to prepay for bulk water, and provide their own 2″ female camlock fitting and hose to connect to the station’s access panel. This type of equipment is widely available to purchase online and locally (click here for a non-comprehensive list of vendors). Setting up an account and obtaining the necessary equipment ahead of time will be required to utilize the new Bulk Water fill station.

In addition, to make it more efficient for smaller-quantity users and reduce long wait times, the maximum weekly volume limit at this facility will be 3,500 gallons; maximum volume per month will be 15,500 gallons. Water in larger volumes will remain available at the Jackson County station. On June 6, 2022, the current rate of $1.16 per 1000 gallons will change to $4.01 per 1000 gallons. This increase will pay for the actual cost of providing water from this facility, and the overall enhanced system.

More information on the new requirements and this project is available at medfordwater.org/bulkwaterproject.

We will provide updates as they become necessary. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this project. If you have questions regarding this project, please contact us at (541) 774-2430.
