October 17th-October 23rd

Tip of the Week for October 17th-October 23rd
Identify the water shut-off valve for your house.
Locate your master water shut-off valve and mark it for quick identification. If a pipe does burst, you'll be able to shut off the water flow quickly and minimize damage and water loss.
Watering Recommendations for the Week of October 17th-October 23rd
Overview
|
Temperatures for this week will continue to be warm early this week with showers forecasted later in the week. With these cooler mornings, use a soil moisture meter to check soil saturation levels. Supplemental irrigation may be necessary, so follow the weekly watering guide below to apply the appropriate amount of water.
- If you are unsure whether your landscape needs water, try using a soil moisture meter to check to see if there is still water in the soil. You can pick one up for FREE in our office.

PLEASE NOTE: The above watering times are based on weekly water need for areas in full sun. Decrease these times by 20% for areas that are in shade.
If you are just trying to keep your landscape alive this year, reducing the recommended time by 30-40% will likely be sufficient. Most lawns and landscapes can handle reduced watering times, they will just not be as lush. |
