This morning, August 11, 2021, around 2:30 a.m., an 18” water main broke on Biddle Road, approximately 500 feet north of East Jackson Street. Due to the break, southbound traffic lanes on Biddle Road are closed from Stevens Street to East Jackson Street, and is being detoured to Stevens Street and then Crater Lake Avenue. One northbound traffic lane from Jackson Street to Stevens Street will remain open.

Our crews are working as fast as possible to make repairs; once locates for all other utilities have been completed, the area below the break must be dug out until the pipe is no longer in contact with the ground or water adjacent to the leak. While this means that water continues to flow out of the pipe until it is fully exposed, it assures that no soil or dirty water can be pulled back into the water system through the broken pipe. At this time, completion and reopening is currently undetermined.

We will provide updates as they become available; thank you for your patience and cooperation during this event. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team at (541) 774-2430; press '0' to speak to a representative directly.
