Medford Water is taking advantage of the City of Medford/Jackson County Foothill Road Improvement Project to install new waterlines that improve capacity and reduce risk to our water system. This includes a new 5,000 foot 24-inch transmission main (from Lone Pine Road to Hillcrest Road), two 12-inch pipe extensions that improve pipe looping and serve future customers, and various waterline adjustments to coordinate with new storm drains.
We have also opted to use the opportunity to relocate sections of our primary water supply pipelines away from existing homes and into the new roadway limits. This reduces risk to property owners and provides a secure location for the supply pipelines long into the future.

Construction started in spring 2023 and is expected to last until fall of 2026. The City/County’s road construction project is being managed by ODOT; the schedule is available at foothillroadproject.org.
