Medford Water’s top priority is providing drinking water of the highest quality to its customers. Monitoring the quality of the water we supply is performed on a regular basis; this includes testing of the raw source water, the treated water in the distribution network, and in some cases of customers’ tap water. Every year, Medford Water issues the results of this testing in two different publications.
Our extensive sampling program ensures that the water distributed through our system meets the criteria established by the Environmental Protection Agency and Oregon Department of Human Services/Drinking Water Program. Hundreds of tests are performed each month for more than 100 potential contaminants: organic and inorganic chemicals, volatile organic compounds, microbiological contaminants, disinfection by-products, and a variety of other chemical and physical quality parameters. The water we supply has always met and surpassed all health-based standards.
Consumer Confidence Report
The federally mandated Consumer Confidence Report—also sometimes called the CCR or Water Quality Report—is made available to all water users in the service area. This publication includes the latest annual water quality test results along with information explaining what the results mean. It focuses on and provides details about compliance with state and federal regulations, it does not include data on all of the parameters tested.
