Additional Biddle Road Detours Necessary Following Main Break Wednesday, August 11, 2021
Earlier today, Wednesday, August 11, 2021, an 18″ water main break on Biddle Road necessitated the closure of the southbound Biddle Road traffic lanes, from Stevens Street to Jackson Street. This traffic has been detoured to Stevens Street and then Crater Lake Avenue.
Additional lane closures are now required to maintain the safety of Medford Water Commission personnel and facilitate access to the break location. As of 5:45 p.m. today, the northbound lanes of Biddle Road will be closed as well, between Jackson Street and Stevens Street.
Crews are working as efficiently as possible to excavate the break and make repairs, but this work is expected to continue through tonight and into tomorrow, Thursday, August 12, 2021. Detours will remain in place throughout this work; please follow detour signage and drive safely.
We will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this event. If you have questions, please contact our Customer Service Department at (541) 774-2430. For an after-hours water service emergency, call (541) 779-7611.
