Improper disposal of unused medications is a major threat to water quality. Medications that are flushed down the toilet or thrown in the trash can make its way to our rivers and harm aquatic life and our community. It can also lead to accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose.
Help us avoid contamination of Oregon's waterways and keep our communities safer and healthier. On October 29th, we encourage you to bring your unused or unwanted medications to a local law enforcement agency, safely and anonymously.
