Updated Billing Portal Launches May 6, 2024

  Customer Service Billing Website Upgrade
ATTENTION: Registration is now available; see our FAQs below.

Our new Watersmart account billing portal is now LIVE!

At a very basic level, the portal (located at
services.medfordwater.org) helps customers manage their water accounts and pay their bill, and following the upgrade will have some great new features; see more below.

As part of this upgrade, all customers will need to register online to use the portal, and autopay and paperless billing customers will need to activate those preferences as well.

Complete these steps on or after May 6th and keep your account current. It's as easy as 1-2-3!

 
Step 1 Register Your Water Account
 
  • Go to services.medfordwater.org (if that link does not work for you, go to medfordor.watersmart.com).
  • Enter your Customer Number and Account Number (located near the top right of your bill), separated by a dash, and your zipcode
  • Click on Find My Account
  • Create a login, and click on Take Me to My Account
Step 2 Activate Autopay and Paperless Billing
Once you’ve registered, go to the Billing tab at the top to activate automatic payments and paperless billing.
  To activate autopay:
  • Click on the Billing tab, then select Bill Settings from the drop-down menu
  • Click on AutoPay on the left side menu
To sign up for paperless billing:
  • Click on the Billing tab, then select Bill Settings from the drop down menu
  • Click on Bill Delivery Method on the left side menu
  • Once you select Email, click on Send Verification Email (don’t forget to check your email to complete this process!)
Step 3 Explore the New Tools and Features
Take a few minutes to explore the new portal, check out the great new features, and set your preferences!

  • Compare past billings and water usage
  • Usage graphed with temperature and precipitation data
  • Receive alerts for possible leaks 
  • High use notifications
  • Set notifications for certain usage amounts
  • View water efficiency tips
  • Mobile-friendly interface and notifications
  • And more
These improvements will allow us to provide a better, more valuable billing experience to you; one that also empowers you with the ability to save water and money!

Estimated Project Schedule

Originally slated for the fall of 2023, the updated portal will go live on May 6th, 2024.
